The London Film Festival is jam-packed with the very best that world cinema has to offer and, of course, plenty of massively hyped Oscar-type pics. That one of the most alluring and strikingly original – if cheaply produced – entries into the festival is not only a sci-fi, but a stylistically flamboyant one, is a pleasant surprise, and despite its low-key nature, it is a wonderfully strange, smart slice of postmodern space cinema.
