Janus Metz’s incendiary war doc Armadillo is a controversial look at wartime conduct, but it is more memorable as an intimate and human portrait of the people beneath the kelvar. Incredibly capturing front-line combat footage in HD, Metz and his crew put their own lives on the line to document a lengthy stint on the titular British-Danish army base.
