  1. Hi Shaun,

I wanted to send you an email but couldn’t find a contact, I hope this doesn’t just pop up on your site šŸ™‚

My name is William McGregor, Im a 23 year old director living in London.

When I was 19 in my first year studying Digital Screen Arts at the University of Creative Arts I set out to shoot a short film in Slovenia, a short film based on the dark fairy tales and folk law of Eastern European legend.

3 years on and my short film has screened at over 20 International Film Festivals including the Warsaw, Istanbul and Kiev Film Festivals, it has won 8 international awards including the Royal Television Society Award for Best Drama, where it was proclaimed as ‘the best student film they had ever seen’.

This short film financed through corporate video’s and crewed by students is now going to be available for sale on iTunes as a Halloween Special as of the 28th of October. Which is suiting as viewers have suffered physical injury from fright when watching the film!

Former chair of BAFTA and the Boat that Rocked producer Hilary Bevan Jones was impressed by the film and is now working with me to make a feature length adaptation called ‘The Rising’. Iv also picked up TV and Film representation from Independent Talent of off the back of the film.

Heres a trailer if our want to take a look http://www.williammcgregor.co.uk/latest/whos-afraid-of-the-watersprite I’d be happy to send you a DVD if you would like.

Is my films release something you would be interested in featuring on your blog? Id rely love to be able to get my short film out there to find its audience and would be eternally grateful of your help in doing so.

    Thanks for your time,

    Best wishes,

    William McGregor
